Who would have thought that the most awaited the year 2020 will be a very challenging year? Some of us may have imagined and hoped that this year, we will finally be able to ride a flying car or even step into Mars due to technological advancement but it seems to be good to be true as this year has really tested each and everyone and turned to be the toughest year most of us ever had. Multiple life-changing events happened and no one ever saw it coming. Lockdown and social isolation have meant a whole new way of living. Who knew life would set brand-new limits?
The pandemic took away normalcy, freedom, opportunities, and people's lives. This year, we've learned to adapt to the "New Normal"; faced multiple natural disasters and market crashes. Yes, all of the sudden everything changed just like that. It resulted in no job and no hope. Depression, spousal abuse, overdoses, and suicide skyrocketed. And many faced a grinding resignation that they’re helpless.
A lot had happened and it's not easy to bear, it's okay not to be okay.
When was the last time you checked on yourself? When was the last time you spent time checking and managing your mental and emotional health? It is indeed a testing year and if you don't feel good, it's okay. It's totally understandable to feel worried as we can't really say what will happen next.
You might be worried about what will happen next and always have the question, when is it gonna end?
I just want to let you know that you are not alone, everyone has the same feeling as no one really knows what's gonna happen next and for sure, everyone prays and hopes that it's gonna end real soon. But try not to think too much about everything, remind yourself that no matter how difficult life has been for the past 9 months you were able to make it. You survived the deadly virus, freedom and money constraints, and natural disasters. You're indeed unbreakable.
The effects of the terrible situation are uncountable and indeed life-impacting. But no matter how horrible the situation is, we were able to have a knack for making the best of bad situations. The year 2020 has taught us a lot, it made us realize that freedom in all forms is priceless. That simple human contact is important and a lot more. The most important part is that we will come out stronger, braver, more prepared, and bolder. No matter what life throws us, we manage and not just survive but thrive.
